As you can see above and below, Friday evening is an ideal time to get together with some old gang members, an old and dear friend, maybe an old sparing partner, your not so good driver and just plain old friends. The evening got off to a slow start as some of our members had to deal with a car accident outside the legion. That soon changed once the bar was open “see below”

No! No! E.J. This is the way we Shuck em’ in PQ
Once more the welcome room was a huge success as E.J. and The Islanders served up such culinary delights as Shrimp, Oysters, Clams and of course The “Infamous MacDonald Wine”. Well done lads. RV 06 Welcome Room will be manned by The Bluenosers and rumour has it there may be some Quebecois delicacies as well. Terry Rutledge may finally deliver the lobster he has promised.

The Port Hawkesbury Cup Contenders
This year saw a significant increase in the number of participants in this annual event. The winners this year was Lellan MacIsaac and Kevin Embrey. Longest drive (men) Lellan MacIsaac (women) Ruth Deleavey. Closest to pin (men) Al Denny (women) Anne Kells, this despite the fact she was partnered with a handicap (Lambert). The prizes were excellent and all players are to be congratulated for their sportsmanship. Many thanks go out to  Dee Deleavey and Wilson Timmons and their staff for all the work setting up and running the tournament.
